NEW SONG IN 4 YEARS is Now Available! Download, Listen + Watch Lyric Video
Latest Kekal Update, April 2026
Big News! Kekal’s brand-new song in 4 years is now ready!!
This is Jeff again. Kekal’s new song “See The Reapers Coming” will be released “officially” as a digital single on April 29th across multiple platforms [Latest Update: as per April 12th it has been decided that Kekal will NO LONGER distribute its new and future songs and albums on mainstream streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, Amazon Digital, YouTube Music, etc. including this new song. The only platform that Kekal will continue to use for digital audio distribution is Bandcamp, through the band’s Bandcamp page. Music/lyric videos and official audio will continue to be posted on Kekal’s Official YouTube channel by Kekal, and not through the YouTube Music digital distribution system.]
The new song is now available for download (free or by-donation) & streaming on Bandcamp!
Here in this article, I outline three “recommended steps” to get yourself immersed with the song. The entire steps may not take more than 30 minutes.
Step 1: Listen.
To download the song from Bandcamp, please click the Bandcamp thumbnail below. If you’re reading this article either on the web browser or Substack App, you are also able to stream the song online. If you’re reading it on email, clicking it will send you to the Bandcamp page. 👇
Small donations are greatly appreciated! Just $1 to download the song is enough. It is basically to maintain a healthy energy exchange. You can also opt to wait until more songs are ready. This song will be a part of Kekal’s upcoming, open-ended album titled “Kanata” which will be set up on Bandcamp later this year when more songs are available. But the album status will always be “working-in-progress” because I don’t have any plan to finish it before this old world (false-matrix reality) ends.
Musically, this new song revisits the energy and excitement of Kekal’s 1998 debut album “Beyond The Glimpse Of Dreams” — using 80s-styled metal elements and riffs, and combining it with the ‘familiar intrigues’ presented in the band’s more recent outputs. The music is intentionally done organically, focusing on more guitars and using fewer synthesizers and with more focus on rock/metal than electronic elements. As you may notice upon listening to it the first time, I incorporated more major chords this time and also somewhat energetic riffs, because the music isn’t supposed to be somber and depressing.
Step 2: Watch.
A lyric video of the song (or lyrical presentation to be more exact) is also now available on YouTube. Please watch it when you have time. Due to the nature of the topic, there is a risk of putting the video on the mainstream platforms like YouTube, known with its growing authoritarian censorship hidden behind the elusive “against community guidelines” term. But, however, the information carried in the message alone is worth taking a risk. Let’s hope that YouTube won’t take it down. 👇
Step 3: Read.
In the previous article posted on March 27th, I wrote in-depth behind-the-lyrics discourse regarding the message of the song. Feel free to read it if you haven’t yet. 👇
Additionally, I’ve also put some new thoughts here.
Human Awareness and Free Will
As expected, every time we release a new music, whether it’s a song or an album, there are certain “fans” who seem to get “offended” either by the musical direction or the lyrics (or both). This has always happened with Kekal since the very beginning phase of the band. As a band, Kekal has never written shallow or surface music just for pleasing the audience. If anyone happens to like our music, great and thank you, but if our music “offends” anyone, well, it’s not our problem! There are always people who resonate with our music or lyrics, and there are those who don’t.
Being in Kekal for 30 years has offered me a valuable lesson to never write music for the sake of gimmick or to please fans in the first place. I have always reminded myself to write lyrics as honest to myself as possible, about topics that I deem as the most resonate with me. Everything starts from within. As an artist, staying true to myself and maintaining integrity is the most important thing, even though it’s not easy when the environment is mostly hostile to it. In that regard, I will always share and express what I’ve considered as truth in my music, no matter if that kind of truth may hurt certain listeners and even myself.
Kekal is also here to spread awareness. I always believe that music is the most reliable platform for expressing any topic that I feel is very important and compelling/urgent to be addressed.
In public, there is certain information that is being kept away from people’s awareness by those in the ruling authority (although that information is not actually completely hidden). In regards to the topic of “See The Reapers Coming”, it’s about transhumanism and AI agenda. In the song’s lyrics, Kekal contributes to sharing such information on how they do that to us. Any organic human consciousness should have this subtle “voice of the soul” that we can tune in. It’s commonly called by the term “conscience”. Much of the moral compass and human decency come from our conscience, which based on the organic, Spirit-embodied soul consciousness. Now, what they, I mean the ruling authority do to us in their agenda is to sever the direct connection between our mind or ego-self to the soul by merging it with AI, so that we can no longer hear our “voice of the soul” or “conscience”, and instead AI will then take the control of the entire avatar, making a human species a full-blown slave with a hive mind.
To “shine the light into darkness” means exposing any nefarious hidden agenda, to bring it into people’s awareness. Participation of collective consciousness is needed, because it gives the strength to the energy that creates reality within the collective. Our thoughts create reality and our emotions enhance it to manifest quicker in the physical. The light itself will dissolve the darkness (or the darkness will devour itself). Kekal takes its part in speeding up the collapse of the matrix.
But, however, our music is not meant to tell or lecture everyone what to think or what to do. Kekal is not a propagandist. We live in a free-will universe, so every one of us is responsible for setting our own soul’s pathway or destiny based on the law of free-will. If for some reason any person would choose to remain ignorant even after new verifiable information is more accessible, that’s the person’s individual choice. We don’t have much time now.
Thank you for reading. Feel free to share this post to your friends as you see fit. You can also read past months’ messages posted on Substack if you haven’t yet. Please keep yourself subscribed to this newsletter and stay tuned. See you again soon!
