Announcing the Seemingly Impossible: Working on the Next Kekal Album!
Latest Kekal Update + Message from Jeff, November 2025
Greetings again!
Thank you for keeping yourself subscribed to Kekal Updates + Messages. The year 2025 is considered special for Kekal because it is the band’s 30th Anniversary, another milestone for the band. But as you already know, we do not have anything new in 2025; no new material and no other activities aside from the relatively modest updates done to some of Kekal’s older albums, “Acidity” (2005) and “8” (2010), where both of them received the entirely new album cover artwork.
It wasn’t that I had become a lazy bastard, but I just could not feel any internal urge to work on the new material for Kekal. There was indeed a plan to start working on the upcoming album when the perfect time came, but that “perfect time” never came. I finished writing all the lyrics about a year ago. The number of lyrics written is enough for a full-length album material, but still, I could not find the right momentum to initiate the music composing part, because like mentioned in a past Substack article, I simply needed a quiet time to rediscover myself before I would be able to express these new lyrics authentically and translate them into the language of music. Personally, I’ve been in a self-review, introspective mode and doing some inner-healing work, facing all the monsters within.
To me, Kekal is basically a platform for authentic expressions. It has always been like that. You just can’t force any expression if you want it to be authentic. All you can do is to wait for the “fire” to appear, and how long should I wait? I have no idea! It all depends on the “fire” within.
The “Seemingly Impossible” Album to Make
What I initially envisioned for the next album when most of the lyrics were done, was to record the final album for Kekal, as a means to properly say goodbye like: “Thank you, I’m done here. I’ll move out of this shitty world when the Great Harvest comes. See you on the other side if we both made it, and if not… then, Bye!”
That statement does not mean anything suicidal, because actually, our current world (the false-matrix 3D Earth reality) will soon meet its point of self-destruction because of the process known as entropy. We are right at the precipice. This year, 2025, things have begun separating according to the core vibrational frequencies within the human collective, and that separation is now very clear and visible in our reality. We currently attune to (or walk on) either one of the two parallel collective timelines that are going further and further away or apart from each other. Those who have chosen to ascend at the soul-level and exit this matrix are already set apart and already walking the ascension pathway; a lonely and narrow pathway, but divinely-protected nonetheless. This pathway eventually leads to the whole new world, the beautiful, organic, utopian New Earth reality that exists in a higher frequency vibration and a higher dimension. The other timeline leads to a complete collapse of the matrix because of the lack of organic energy supply that sustains it. It is a completely natural process that goes according to the law of physics.
Right now, as both timelines have gone further and further apart from each other, we can really notice the difference when for some reason we happen to jump/shift between these timelines (it seems that it’s getting harder to shift timelines now). What we are currently waiting for is just the “snapping point” event, where the complete split of perceptual realities will occur. That final split event is called The Great Harvest. I had explained it quite in-depth in a number of past articles. Click thumbnails below to access some of the articles if you haven’t read them yet. 👇
Back to Kekal. Upon further reflection, it has become clearer that this next album is supposed to be created in two different worlds; first part of it during the ending of the old world (our current matrix we live in right now), the shitty world I mentioned earlier — basically to close that chapter, and the second part would be made after the new world has begun to manifest itself — when the new chapter starts for those of us who made it to the ascension upon the Harvest. It is because the name “Kekal” in Indonesian means “eternal” or “immortal”. By the virtue of the name alone, it should maintain its essence to become everlasting and go beyond death, beyond the point of destruction, beyond the repeated cycle of Ouroboros or the false-matrix reality construct. Would that be possible? That thought lingers in my mind. It’s an “insane” kind of concept, but I have decided to keep that concept and start to make it happen by focusing on my creative energy to transcend the end, and go forward in embracing the new beginning. Whether or not that will be successfully achieved, I don’t need to know right now!
Kekal considers itself as a spiritual band first and foremost, and in the Spirit realm, we are all One infinite energy. In that regard, if I put high frequency vibration of energy into the music through expressing it authentically and with love, and the music also comes with conscious lyrics that do not glorify negativity, in theory it is still very much possible for the same music to be accessed from the higher dimensions, even though certain musical instruments, methods of recording, and the devices where the recording is being stored may not be able to be carried-over into the new reality. I’d use faith that my music will remain in the quantum fields, and I would be able to consciously access or attune it via a new device available in a higher dimension after I cross over to the other side. I keep thinking about this “other side”, and wonder “what if I finish this next album after moving to that other side? Would that be cool?”
Behind The Album Title “Kanata” (彼方)
This is how the concept of “Kanata” came to surface. The word itself carries a strong energy signature. It is a beautiful name that fits rightly into the album title. I have lived in Canada for almost 20 years now, since the year 2006. The name “Canada” originally came from the term “kanata”, meaning “village” or “settlement” in the Huron-Iroquois language. According to the Wikipedia article, this term was used by Indigenous inhabitants of the Stadacona region (modern-day Quebec City) to refer to their village, which French explorer Jacques Cartier later adopted to describe the broader region. I’ve lived in Ottawa, the Capital City of Canada in the province of Ontario, for about 9 years so far, and there is also a suburban neighborhood community in western part of the city named Kanata. Even though I don’t live in that neighborhood, but there is a personal feeling when it comes to the name “kanata”, the name that for some reason, resonates in my heart.
In Japanese, the term “Kanata” (written kanji 彼方) has a meaning referring to “the other side”, “beyond”, or “across”. This meaning really matches the general concept I would like to bring with this album. The idea came from when Levi (another Kekal contributor) shared his photographic work, with a white cloud appearing from the other side of the hill, which now becomes the choice for the album cover. What I wanted to convey is that this is the album that will be brought with me to the other side, beyond this corrupt false-matrix reality. And Kekal will continue in there too, as a music project or band that refuses to die!
This will be an open-ended, unfinished album project made in this present reality, and then we’ll see if the audio can be accessed from the other side so that anyone can finish the rest of the songs to become a full-length finished album. I have a wish that Kekal would somehow re-band in the New Earth reality, and I also want to be involved there as well and play live again, even though the music will be completely different. It’s a “seemingly impossible” wish when thinking from the perspective of this current world, but from the recent studies in Quantum Mechanics, it is entirely doable because energy is information, and that information would remain intact in the quantum fields, even if material forms and particles dissolve. In order to access it, it’s just a matter of attuning to the frequency of its vibration. Don’t worry, I’m not writing this in the “full madness” mode.
Release Scheme
How these songs will be released has also been considered carefully. Kekal will use its Bandcamp platform kekal.bandcamp.com to publish each individual song, one at a time, compiled within the “work in progress” upcoming album project. This has been a great option offered by the platform, and has helped many independent artists, including Kekal, to be able to put together song-by-song and publish them earlier as they become available on a yet unreleased “upcoming album” page (rather than being released independently as separate “singles”). Bandcamp offers an editable and update-able platform for an album where we can easily add more songs or re-upload the audio files, unlike other streaming platforms that require a completely finished product with a fixed release date when it comes to an album. How many songs that I will be able to publish this way (digitally via Bandcamp platform), depending on when the Great Harvest arrives!
Please stay tuned for the first new song to be published! Follow Kekal on Bandcamp to get the latest updates sent to your email address (if you use only the Bandcamp mobile app, you may miss the updates if you don’t use the app regularly). This is a completely separate platform from Kekal Updates + Messages on Substack, as it focuses more on products and merchandise updates (discount codes, download codes, etc.). Currently as I’m writing this, Kekal has around 4,400 followers on Bandcamp, while here on Substack it has close to 2,900 subscribers now (down from 2,900+ earlier this year).
If things work according to the divine timing, then I should be able to start working on the music very shortly. That being said, the next Kekal album, “Kanata”, will be open-ended or unfinished when viewed from the point of view of this false-matrix “old Earth” reality. You will not see this album being released on the known physical formats (CD, LP, Cassette), because all of them contain plastic and carbon elements that cannot exist in the higher dimensions of Earth.
Thank you for reading. Feel free to share this post to your friends as you see fit. You can also read past months’ messages posted on Substack if you haven’t yet. Please keep yourself subscribed to this newsletter and stay tuned. See you again soon!
